Proformance Motorsport
4WD Trophy Truck - Off Road Racing
Located in Perth Western Australia, Proformance Motorsport construct and race some of Australia's most advanced 4WD off road racing trucks.
Back in 1990 our "Imagineers" began creating our own Gearboxes, Differentials, Hubs, Spindles and Chassis for our personal use. With the exception of the engine and wheels almost all our components were hand made in our own premises to provide us exactly what we needed.
The components we manufactured have gained worldwide attention and after many requests from the Off Road Motorsport Communites around the world, team owner Scott Bryce finally decided to begin a business making and selling these unique components worldwide.

Proformance Motorsport 4WD Trophy Truck with BOTH IFS and IRS (Independent Front and Rear Suspension). Proformance Motorsport Ultra Narrow Differentials allow for Much Longer Axles and therefore much more wheel travel. Our CV Joints are tucked up inside the DIFF Carrier and inside the wheel hub, using huge taper roller bearings. This 4WD truck has an amazing 33" Rear Wheel Travel IRS and 22" Front Wheel Travel IFS This wheel travel is achieved with only 22 degrees of CV Joint angle
Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck - Located in Perth Western Australia. Independent front and independent rear suspension using Proformance Motorsport ULTRA Narrow Differentials. Our Differentials are only 40mm Wide (Between the CV Faces) and are MUCH NARROWER than SipderTrax (Spider Trax) and Currie 9 Inch or 10 Inch IFS and IRS Differentials. Our Ultra Narrow Differentials are suitable for Off Road Racing, Ultra 4 Rock Racing, Rock Bouncing and other forms of Off Road Motorsport.
Proformance Ultra Narrow Diffs provide the ultimate in IFS and IRS wheel travel. Our vehicles provide MUCH MORE wheel travel than ULTRA 4 and Rock Bouncers. Proformance Motorsport Drivetrain Components include ULTRA Narrow Diffs which have CV joints mounted up inside the Diff Carrier to allow for the longest Axles possible. 35 Spline, 40 Spline or 44 Spline axles and Series 21 (934 CV) of Series 30 CV joints are available for off Road racing, ULTRA4 Ultra 4 and Rock Bouncing - Rock Race
Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck with IFS and IRS. Our components provide much longer axles than Currie or Spider Trax Differentials. A typical Currie or Spider Trax (Spidertrax) 9 Inch or 10 Inch IFS Diff is 14 to 15 inches wide. Our Ultra Narrow Diffs are 12 Inches Narrower than a Spidertrax 10 inch IFS Diff or Currie 9 Inch or 10 Inch IFS Diff. There is simply no comparison between an ULTRA Narrow Proformance Differential and other IFS Diffs on the market today. Proformance 4WD IFS
Proformance Ultimate 4WD Trophy Truck. This machine is a bit different to traditional Trophy Trucks, with the engine in the Rear and a Diff in both the front and the rear. Combine IFS and IRS and you have many advantages over a traditional live axle rear wheel drive vehicle.

At Proformance Motorsport, we pride ourselves on our innovation and unique concepts. A typical innovation is the Jig we manufactured to support our Race Transmission and Transfer Case whilst we install and remove the engine. The jig allows our team members to simply slide the gearbox back and forth on roller bearings to make fitting the gearbox a breeze.
Our Mid Mounted Engine required the gearbox output direction to be reversed to ensure the Rear Diff was being driven in the correct rotation direction. Driving a Rear Diff upside down and on the Coast Side of the Ring Gear was NOT acceptable for our team, so we made our very own transfer case, which today is available in our product range to teams all over the world
The Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck uses ultra narrow IFS Diffs and Long Axles to achieve the ultimate in wheel travel and low CV angles
Massive 330mm Rotors on EACH wheel pull the Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck to a stop. The FULL TIME 4WD allows the Rear Brakes to assist the front brakes, preventing front brake fade.
Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck IFS Spindle and Unit bearing. The spindle is CNC machined from a billet of 414o Chrome Moly Steel, NOT fig welded from sheet steel. There are NO WELDS in our components a at all. All the Spindle components can be field changed and are BOLTED in place rather than traditional welding.
Our 4WD Trophy Truck Chassis was 10% hand built in our own premises. With no Trophy Trucks in Western Australia and NO other hand made 4WD vehicles in Australia at all, we faced all sorts of challenges with this concept, but after 10 years, we had it all sorted and the result was amazing
Traditional Trophy Truck Fiberglass Bodies were simply not suitable. A Mid Mounted Engine, A front and Rear Diff and everything running backwards caused our team all sorts of headaches, but in the end, making our own body shell resulted in the perfect shell for our masterpiece
Hand Made Trophy Truck Body Shell. The team at Proformance hand crafted the fibreglass body shell to accommodate all the 4WD components. Traditional Trophy Truck Fiberglass Bodies were simply not suitable. A Mid Mounted Engine, A front and Rear Diff and everything running backwards caused our team all sorts of headaches, but in the end, making our own body shell resulted in the perfect shell for our masterpiece
Our Proformance Motorsport 4WD Trophy Truck uses a Nascar Small Block Chev Engine to propel the beast at speeds over 200 KPH
Custom Machined Engine Block to allow for 6 Stage NASCAR Dry Sump Pump and race Lubrication System.
Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck uses a custom made Quick Change Transfer Case that reverses the direction of the engine/gearbox rotation to allow the diffs to run in the intended direction, and the rear diff driving on the Drive Side of the Diff Gear
Narrow Diffs requires that the A Arm Pivot Points be close together also. Traditional Off Road Steering Racks like Fortin, Howe and Pro Am are not typically suitable for 4WD Trophy Trucks or ULTRA 4 Rock Racers because the steering input shaft needs to be positioned right where the Front Diff is installed. Getting the steering pivots to line up with the A Arm pivots is difficult enough without having to worry about steering columns that have 10 or more Uni Joints (we have seen it before)
Our 4WD Trophy Truck uses custom made A Arms and IFS (Independent Front Suspension) Massive Wheel Travel is achieved by using Ultra Narrow Differentials with CV Joints mounted inside the Diff Carrier. Our Proformance D60 and D80 Diffs use massive taper roller bearings to allow the CV Joints to sit inside the Diff Ring Gear.
Running CV Joints inside the wheel hubs again provides longer axles. Series 21 or Series 30 Floater Hubs for Off Road racing Proformance 4WD Trophy Truck has been running narrow diff with internal CV Joints and Floater hubs for years now. We achieved 33 inches of rear wheel travel at only 22 degrees of cv angle.
Huge 934 or Series 30 CV joints can be fitted up inside the Diff Carrier to provide longer axles and more wheel travel. Using Longer Axles Allows the CV joints to run at less angle, increasing reliability.
Proformance Motorsport Ultra Narrow Diff for 4WD Trophy Truck or 2 Wheel Drive Trophy Truck. These diffs have the CV Joints fitted up inside the Differential Carrier to allow for LONGER AXLES.... Longer Axles results in MORE wheel travel - what more could a Trophy Truck Racer ask for.
Ultra Long Suspension Travel. Ultra Narrow Diffs with CV Joints inside the ring gear. Internal CV joints allow for longer axles and more wheel travel.
Holinger RD6 Six Speed Sequential Shift Race Transmission Proformance Motorsport. Shown with transmission installation jig to assist with engine removal and installation. The Jig holds the transmission and transfer case while the engine is installed and removed. The gearbox is simply slid back and forth on the rollers.
Constructed in Perth Western Australia, Proformance Motorsport AWD (All Wheel Drive) Trophy Truck has created a stir in the motorsports arena since its release. Orignally planned to run in the Class 1 (Pro Buggy) class, this vehicle was quickly banned and forced to run in the Modified 4WD Class after the racing rules were amended to exclude the vehicle from competition.
